He starred in "Saturday Night Fever" in 1977, playing a man who spends his weekends dancing. This movie helped to make disco music popular.
He also starred in "Staying Alive," the sequel to Saturday Night Fever, in 1983. It was not as popular as the first movie.
Throughout his career, he continued to dance in movies. Movies such as "Grease" and "Hairspray," and even a commercial for a Tokyo drink (video below).
