Friend, buy me a coconut,
Friend, I don't buy coconut,
Because as little coconut I eat,
Little coconut I buy.
This song is in Spanish and is a tongue twister when you try to sing it. Try it just with the words first. It's pretty tricky to sing! This song also uses two new chords--Dm and A7. This is Robin Giebelhausen, a music teacher friend of mine. She is a professor at the University of Maryland. The translation is: Friend, buy me a coconut, Friend, I don't buy coconut, Because as little coconut I eat, Little coconut I buy.
