This video features Alvin Chung, a percussionist from Maryland. During this time of online learning, he decided to create a laptop version of "Flight of the Bumblebee" by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov. It was originally composed in 1899.
Here is a very unique version of Peter and the Wolf! This stunning version mixes animation, musical and non-musical symbols, and musicians. It features the National Orchestra of France, conducted by Daniele Gatti. It's a 30 minute video, but a great adaptation if you have some time! This is an a cappella version of "This is Me" from The Greatest Showman. You'll notice once it starts, that there is only one person singing/creating the percussion parts. His name is Mike Tompkins and he is a Canadian musician. Mike mostly records songs a cappella (without instruments). He was featured on several TV shows. How long do you think it took him to record this song. How many different parts do you think he had to record to make this video? Here's a fun Musication video for you to try. There are four different movements that you will do. Follow the four people with shapes next to them. The screen will tell you which person to follow. Here are the four movements you'll need: Triangle=Squat Jumps Circle=Fold down and reach up Square=Run X=Run and Clap Once you go through it once, create your own movements to go with each shape. Have fun! This is Spencer X. He's a well-known Beatboxer. In this video he shows how he can take real sounds and recreate them with his beatboxing. He's pretty impressive, isn't he? The Piano Guys are a music group based in Utah. They make videos of pieces using the piano and cello. They took the song "What Makes You Beautiful," sung by One Direction, and created their own version. They used 7 people and one piano. Look at all of the parts of the piano they used to create their music! This video was made by Toni Patanen from Finland. He makes ocarinas, (real ones) and ones from vegetables. This video shows him making his "instruments" and then playing them. |
