This is a fun song to sing. It's called, "To Stop the Train." It can be sung in a round too. On your Seesaw, there is an activity to go with it. If you'd like to work on the song, here are the words. I've also included audio of me singing it.
This week's lesson uses Song Maker from Chrome Music Lab. If you haven't used it before, it's a really cool way to create your own music. Go to this link and create a song. To add notes, click on the grid. At the bottom you can choose your instruments. The first instrument choice is for the all the boxes except the last two lines of boxes. The second instrument choice is for those boxes--the percussion part. Play around with it, and when you are satisfied with the song you are created, click Save in the bottom right corner. Copy the link and paste it below in the survey, or post it on Seesaw. I will then be able to hear your composition! You can send your link to anyone and they can see/hear what you've created. If the smart device that you created it on can download, you can even download the file to keep. I can't wait to see/hear what you've created! -Ms. Rothfeld Here is a listening map of Ballet of the Unhatched Chicks. In music class we listened to the version that Modest Mussorgsky wrote in 1874. Below are recordings of different versions. In order is: 1) The original version 2) An electronic version created by Isao Tomita 3) A piano version played by Vladamir Horowitz 4) A version played by MA.GR.IG.AL. with accordion. Which version do you like the best? Why?
Do you remember the chant, "One Bug, Two Bugs?" See if you can figure out the rhythms that go with the words. I did the first one for you. Next week, I'll give you the answers. I've given you some rhythms to choose from. Some of them will NOT be used, and some will be used more than once.
