The 2nd graders have been having a lot of fun learning "Land of the Silver Birch." It was traditionally a Canadian Folk Song. I recorded Mrs. Dey's class singing it today. It is their voices in the recording below! Here are the words if you'd like to sing along.

Alfred the Alligator is a song that we are learning in 3rd grade. The words are below: Have you ever been down the water spout, to the very bottom of the water system? There you'll find a little alligator who goes by the name of Alfred, if you do, he's mine. I lost him. I threw him down the water spout, and now I'm feeling lonely 'cause he's gone. I miss him. Try to sing it with the recording. It happens three times. The first time is just one voice singing, the second time is a 2-part round, and the third time is a 4-part round. Can you sing it as fast as they do on the 3rd time through? Click on various boxes to create your composition!
