Here is one of the songs Preschoolers love to dance and sing with. Listen to words and see if you can remember the movements that go with it. If you can't remember all of them, make up your own movements!
Here's a fun video for you to try. There are four different moves you will do. There will be four people with shapes next to them. The screen will tell you which person to follow. Here are the four movements you'll need: Triangle=Squat Jumps Circle=Fold down and reach up Square=Run X=Run and Clap Once you go through it once, create your own movements to go with each shape. Have fun! We started this activity when we were in school, but didn't get to finish it. Maybe you can finish on your own! We took the nursery rhyme, "One Two, Buckle My Shoe," learned it, and started creating rhymes to go with it. Here is the real version and the partial version that Thurston Preschoolers came up with so far. Maybe you can finish the rhymes at home!
Do you remember the song about the bunny from music class? The one called "Little Cabin in the Woods?" Sing it to your family. Maybe you can even remember the movements that go along with the song. Here are the words below. If you click on the play button below the words, you can even hear the preschoolers singing the song together from earlier this year! Don't forget to make the knocking sound with your tongue when it gets to that part!
