Thurston families come from all around the world! This is one of the things I love about our school. There are so many languages spoken, different types of food we eat, and we all have things we can teach each other about our experiences. I posted a more in-depth lesson about this on Google Classroom.
1) Head to this website and find a country that represents where some of your family lives, comes from, or has a connection too. Click on a song or two in the country's category. Do you know it? Does anyone in your family know it?
2) Talk to an adult. Is there a song they remember learning when they were young? Is it from a country that they have a family connection to? Have them talk to you about something they know about your family history. It can be related to the song or not. Did you learn something new?
3) If you'd like to see something about my family history and what I learned, head to Google Classroom and look at the link I gave you. Feel free to answer the questions in Google Classroom too!
